In the basis of every type of business you want to launch should be some interesting and, what’s more important, original idea. You should occupy your own niche on the market with the help of new product or new way of manufacturing. Some ideas may seem odd and even crazy from the first sight, but you would be surprised to know how successful they have become. So, do not be afraid to use the power of your imagination and ignore people who say your idea for business is too strange to bring benefit. Get inspired by the list of businessmen who became well-known due to their belief in their dream.
- The Snuggie, or the other name of this invention, slanket. Probably you have already understood the purpose of this thing – it is a sleeved blanket which warms you up and do not restrict your ability to use your hands as they protrude from this odd stuff. Of course, you may say that there is no use in snuggies as you have sweaters and robes, but sometimes things do not need to be practical, it is enough if they are funny. For a year since 2008 till 2009 twenty million Americans became happy owners of snuggies. Each snuggie costs between 10 to 20 dollars, so you may imagine how much money the inventor of this thing has already earned. Besides, the contracts are made with airplanes for providing them with snuggies as the passengers find these odd blankets to be extremely convenient. Do you still think that this idea is stupid?
2.Magic Ball. We can enjoy this strange invention thanks to the creative imagination of Albert Carter and Abe Bookman. This fortune-telling device provides you with answers by showing them on the surface with the help of special dye. This toy gives you advice, and predicts your future. Again, you may point out that it is useless and for fun only. Yes, the main purpose is fun, and lots of people all over the world purchase this thing to find it extremely funny.
3.Tamagotchi. This invention is not so new in the world of business, but due to its unbelievable popularity I decided to include it in the list. This device was invented in 1996 in Japan by Japanese toymaker Bandai. I think you all are familiar with its principle of work – you carry an electronic pet in your pocket, feed it and take virtual care or it would die. Bandai observed that on the peak of its popularity there was sold a Tamagotchi per second in the world. All in all, more than 70 million of these toys were sold. Can you imagine the benefit the company received for this seemingly useless device?
By providing these examples I just want to say that we should not be afraid to launch even the weirdest ideas in order to make money with their help. You never know, which crazy invention will appeal to the customers. If you give your dream away you may find out in a few years that someone else earns millions thanks to your invention
