Ghost town stands for a town or city that was abandoned once and forever. Why are there so many ghost towns in the world? Well, as the rule the places are abandoned for economic reasons. But there are can be other reasons as well. Among them are natural disasters (floods, fires), nuclear disasters and government actions sometimes. Once it was glorying and developing then it is forgotten and abandoned. Even though no one lives in a town it can still attract one’s attention. Thus many tourists visit such towns. Why so? Well, usually they are interested in history of the place, its development and decline. The most popular ghost towns in the United States and Canada are Bannack, Montana; Oatman, Arizona; Calico, California; Barkerville, British Columbia and some others.

A beautiful state California gave the world a lot of necessary things, including skateboarding.
Skateboarding was invented in the beginning of the 50ties, when the American surfers decided not to waste time during calm weather, but ride on the boards outside the ocean. They stuck suspension and wheels from the roller skates to a usual flat board and started passing around the streets- that was the first skate in the world named “Roller Derby”. The main aim for skaters that time was to stay on board and go round the obstacles. Teenagers mostly used the first analogues of a skate as scooters, but anyway a skate was on its way of becoming popular. Soon the first commercial team “Super Surfer Skateboard Team” and some time later the first magazine which was called “Skateboarder” appeared.
